Citi Presents Imagine Dragons

On January 23rd, 2014, Imagine Dragons performed a special performance presented by Citi at the Wiltern in Los Angeles, CA. The event was exclusive to Citi cardholders to benefit the Grammy Foundation, just in the time for Grammy weekend.Imagine Dragons (3)
Imagine Dragons are nominated for a Grammy this weekend, and are also performing during the show, so this show at the Wiltern might be the last show before they become a Grammy award winning band. If they win, we’ll have bragging rights to say that we were at their last show before they are immortalized in Grammy history.
First off, Imagine Dragons being nominated for a Grammy is a no-brainer, but there should be a category for best alternative live band, because these guys would definitely take that award home. From the moment they got the stage to the final beats of Radioactive, Imagine Dragons brought a summer-like concert experience to the cool Los Angeles air. The crowd couldn’t get enough of these guys and they let Imagine Dragons know that they are always welcomed here in our great city.
If there’s anything we can take away from this show, it would have to be the amount of time the show lasted. Their show lasted a little over 12 songs- shorter than what you would expect from an “exclusive” show, but at least the crowd loved every minute of their performance.
Songs of the night included Tip Toe, Rocks, it’s Time, Hear Me, Radioactive (which begs to be heard live and in person- holy crap), and a cover of U2’s With or Without You.
With Imagine Dragons quickly sky rocketing to success, there’s no limit to what this band can accomplish, and they’ve only released one studio album! It was announced at the end of the show that they’ll be taking some time off this year to start writing their new album, so look forward to more from these guys in the coming year.
