There is nothing better than prepping for a weekend with a mid week show featuring John Mayer. Nearly sold out, fans knew they were in for a good show on this chilly Thursday night. Roughly around 9:45pm Mayer took the stage with guitar in hand as he and his band immediately started the intro to Belief.

During Mayer’s performance, his set was broken down into four different categories. At the beginning of the night he started off with a full band; they played five songs including opening song Belief, Why Georgia and Love on The Weekend.

After a full band performance, Mayer went solo as he gave the fans an acoustic performance. He played fan favorites such as Your Body Is A Wonderland and a cover of Tom Petty‘s Free Fallin’. Moving things along, Mayer went from acoustic to his John Mayer Trio, which included Steve Jordan on the Drums and Pino Palladino on the Bass guitar as Mayer slayed it on the guitar. During this part of the set, the trio played their own original song, Who Did You Think I Was, as well as two cover songs, JohnMayer-41a cover of Ain’t No Sunshine by Bill Withers, and Bold As Love by Jimi Hendrix.

After slowing things down a bit, Mayer brought the full band back out to continue his eighteen song setlist. For the rest of the set, Mayer played songs such as Moving On and Getting Over, Queens of California and he ended the set with Slow Dancing in a Burning Room. Just when you thought the night was over, Mayer came back out to perform not only one encore but two. Mayer played Still Feel Like Your Man and Born and Raised during the first encore and during the second encore Mayer went solo and performed You’re Gonna Live Forever In Me.

After a pure nineteen songs performed by the insanely talented John Mayer, it’s safe to say that this was hands down the most amazing show. From the production to the music itself John Mayer definitely pulled out all the stops in this stop on The Search For Everything Tour.
