Jay Z’s iconic Budweiser Made In America Festival is Back and now taking place in both Philly AND Los Angeleson Labor Day Weekend Aug 30-31 2014. Budweiser Made In America Festival Philly will take place in Benjamin Franklin Parkway and LA location will take place in Grand Park. Budweiser Made in America Festival is an annual music festival held in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and from 2014 onwards will also be held in Los Angeles, California. Sponsored by Anheuser Busch, an American brewing company, the event features several stages that continuously host live music from a wide range of genres including hip-hop, rock, pop, R&B, and Electronic Dance Music.
The festival was founded in 2012 by American rapper, record producer, business man, and entrepreneur Jay-Z along with his business associate, marketing mogul Steve Stoute,as a way to bring together music and culture. The inaugural event was held on September 1–2, 2012 at Benjamin Franklin Parkway in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. It made an average of $5 million in ticket sales and attracted nearly 80,000 people. Philadelphia city officials reported that the festival generated at least $10 million in economic impact for the city and covered all municipal costs associated with the event.
On April 16, 2014, Jay-Z and Eric Garcetti, mayor of Los Angeles, held a press conference at the Los Angeles city hall and announced that the Made in America festival would not only take place in Philadelphia, but in Los Angeles as well during the 2014 labour day weekend. The added location was purposly designed to implement both the west and east coasts of the United States to the multi-genre festival.Two cities, one epic weekend.
