The King & Queen of Hearts Played Their Cards Right In Baltimore, MD

Mary J. Blige & Maxwell

Royal Farms Arena -Baltimore, MD

As some of you know, R&B Legends Maxwell and Mary J. Blige teamed up together to bring both of their super talents into one room each night on the King and Queen of Hearts Tour. Kicking off the US leg of this tour was right here in Baltimore.

Opening up the night was Ro James, an R&B/Soul artist. He definitely was a charmer on stage as he gracefully sang a good handful of his songs such as Already Knew That and Permission.

Next up was Mary J. Blige, and boy does she know how to work the stage. Blige played songs such as Love Yourself, Real Love, Love No Limit and one of her most popular singles, Family Affair. Blige wasn’t afraid to speak her mind throughout the course of her set, as she addressed the election and equality for women as she had only the women in the entire arena sing the whole song, Good Woman Down, alongside herself. Mary J. Blige proved throughout her set she still got it as she had amazing energy as she walked from each side of the stage as she sang her heart out.

After a fantastic set from The Queen of the tour, next up was The King, Maxwell. As Maxwell took the stage, a massive disco ball twirled around before being lifted up to the ceiling. Maxwell played many hits of his such as Dancewitme, Bad Habits, Fingers Crossed and his latest single from his newest record, Lake By The Ocean. Maxwell took all the energy given from the fans and gave his all on stage as he danced and strutted from one side of the stage to the other. Fans weren’t disappointed by his set.

Overall three fantastic artists took the stage that night and left everyone buzzing with joy as they danced throughout the night and sang back each word to each song that both Mary J Blige and Maxwell  performed on the first night of the US leg of their tour!
