Yungblud Brings The Hype to Seattle, WA

Yungblud September 12, 2019 The Showbox - Seattle, WA

British musician Dominic Richard Harrison better known by his stage name YUNGBLUD is blowing up all over the music world right now after collabing with some big named artists this past year and the 22 year old from Doncaster, England is proving that he is worth the hype. Just this past summer YUNGBLUD has been traveling all over the world performing at venues and music festivals in North America, Europe, United Kingdom and Russia. It is now fall and YUNGBLUD has yet to slow down to take a break and is back in North America for a full headlining fall tour. The Twisted Tales of the Ritalin Club started in Vancouver, BC on September 11th, and will be hitting 24 different cities across North America this fall.  We caught the second date of the tour at one of Seattle’s most iconic music venues, The Showbox which is located next to popular tourist destination Pike Place. Dedicated YUNGBLUD fans (aka the Black Hearts Club) waited in line all day to get a good spot to see the British rockstar. When doors opened the line had wrapped around the block. Opening band Missio- a Pop Rock duo from Austin, Texas put on an amazing performance that gained the band some brand new fans. By the time Missio’s set was over the venue was packed and ready up to see YUNGBLUD. Yungblud kicked off his set coming onto the stage while bearing a pink flag that had the words "Underrated Youth" written boldly on it. Yungblud recently announced that he will be releasing a six track EP titled Underrated Youth on October 11 which will feature already released songs “Parents” and “Hope For The Underrated Youth” as well as four unreleased songs (track list below), one of which includes a collaboration with Imagine Dragons singer Dan Reynolds. On top of performing his released songs the singer also performed one of his unreleased songs titled Casual Sabotage as a special surprise for Seattle. If you’ve ever seen Yungblud perform you would know that Dominic Harrison puts all of his energy into his stage performance, even after performing 15 songs he seemed inexhaustible while on stage. Throughout the show you could see the singer bouncing all over the stage while playing a guitar and during Kill Somebody the singer got into the middle of the crowd to perform Kill Somebody. One of the best parts about shows with energetic performers is that the crowd feeds off their energy, not only did the crowd sing along loudly to almost every song they would mimic the singer as well, when he was bouncing, screaming, or waving his arms the crowd would instantaneously do the same. If you love high energy performance as much as me, I highly recommend checking out one of Yungblud’s concerts. Review by: Sarina Solem  Track List:
