Sabaton Swedish Empire Tour 2012 Preview

 

On September 26, Swedish power metal band, Sabaton, will perform in Vienna, Austria as a part of their European Swedish Empire Tour 2012 to promote their latest (seventh) studio album Carolus Rex.  Support for their tour will be Eluveitie and Wisdom

The bassist of Sabaton, Pär Sundström, said about Carolus Rex: “This is by far the best album we made.” The tour has already started and shows are quickly selling out, so be sure to get your ticket while you still have the chance!

 

Sabaton is a Grammy-nominated power metal band from Falun, Sweden that formed in 1999. The band’s main lyrical themes are those of historical wars. This is heard in albums such as, Primo Victoria, Attero Dominatus and Coat of Arms where all of the songs, except final tracks, take inspiration from historical battles or war. Lyrical content drawn from World War I, World War II and other conflicts is prevalent and includes songs about battles and leaders on all sides of said conflicts.
