Big Day Out Festival preview

Get Excited for the 2013 Adelaide Big Day Out Festival

On Friday, January 25th we will be covering the Big Day Out Festival at the Wayville Showgrounds.

Headlining the festival is none other than the Red Hot Chili Peppers! Their Big Day Out sets have so far included a good mix of songs from their latest album, I’m With You, as well as old favourites like Snow (Hey Oh), Give It Away, Californication, Tell Me Baby and Under the Bridge.

The Killers are also sure to draw a big crowd as they tour on the back of the success of their new album Battle Born, featuring the single Runaways. At the Sydney and Gold Coast Big Day Out festivals the band played exactly the same setlist,,starting with everyone’s favourite, Mr Brightside and also including Somebody Told Me, Jenny Was a Friend of Mine and an incredibly small number of songs from Battle Born, considering the album was released just four months ago.

As well as these headliners, we intend to cover the performances, in part or full, of English rock back Foals; “electro hip-hop soul” DJ Pretty Lights; indie-rock band Vampire Weekend; Seattle-based rockers Band of Horsesthe oddly-named but awesome Aussie band Grinspoon; the totally sick Against Me!; Aussie rock band The Medics; Kiwi-based folk band Avalanche City and the insanely awesome House Vs. Hurricane.

It’s gonna be a freakin’ epic day! No promises, but we will see if we can get a few signings and interviews done, as well. Stay tuned for photos/reviews!
