The Devil Wears Prada rolled through Salt Lake City, UT on a headlining tour, promoting their new album 8:18 on November 23, 2013 at In The Venue
Kicking off the show was the band Texas In July who the crowd got riled up. This American Metalcore band from Pennsylvania brought breakdown after breakdown. Their performance sent good vibes to the crowd, making their set a good introduction for the rest of the show. What they lacked in energy was made up for with killer guitar riffs and other musical qualities.
Next up was Volumes, bringing material from their new album VIA. They contribute to the heavy music scene with a creative variety of many genres. Their energetic and exciting performance left the crowd on good terms and anxious for the next performance.
Finally, we got what a good portion of the crowd was waiting for, The Ghost Inside. This American melodic-hardcore band opened with their popular song, Engine 45. Jonathan Vigil (lead vocalist) took some time to share with the crowd his experiences with what got him to be a musician, and why he wanted to give back to the music scene. He proved that what many bands do is more than just music. It saves lives. Their set left the crowd satisfied and wishing for more.
The Devil Wears Prada was the perfect thing to top off a great show. Playing a wide variety of their material, the popular Christian hardcore band played a show exceeding all expectations. They brought all of their energy and connected with the crowd, not to mention they provided a killer light show. The crowd was beyond impressed with their set, and The Devil Wears Prada left everyone excited for their return.
This collaboration did not disappoint, and these fans look forward to seeing these bands again in the future. Be sure to catch The 8:88 Tour, if it’s coming to a city near you.
