From January 24-27 of 2013, the NAMM trade show took place at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, CA. It featured tons of new instruments, musical equipment and artist signings. Put simply, NAMM is like a candy store for musicians, sponsors, and buyers in the music industry. It is everything from the instruments you use, all the way to the plugs and strings for the instrument.
Although the show is not open to the public- it didn’t fail to attract a diverse crowd which flocked from around the world. From the tattoo’d and pierced young- to the clean-cut, suited business people; they all had one thing in common- music.
On one of the busiest NAMM days, Saturday January 26, 2013, we were there, capturing both instruments and musicians. Aside from each vendor pitching their products, attendees were treated with signings and meet n’ greets from musicians including: Kerry King of Slayer; Shavo Odadjian of System of a Down; Nikki Sixx of Motley Crue, Avenged Sevenfold and more. Stevie Wonder played the drums; BB King performed on the guitar, and many more activities throughout the day!
