Echostage- Washington DC
Good Charlotte returned back to where it all started in DC for another memorable hometown performance, but this time around at a slightly bigger venue called Echostage. As you all may have caught onto this already, Good Charlotte reunited with the music scene, the road and most importantly the fans after their five-year-hiatus. Joined by The Story So Far, Big Jesus and Four Year Strong, fans could instantly tell that they were in for a crazy show.
After 3 insanely talented bands, it was finally time for Good Charlotte to hit the stage and the crowd instantly erupted for Joel & Benji Madden, Billy Martin, Paul Thomas and Dean Butterworth. The band opened with some of their biggest hit singles from their early days, such The Anthem, Bloody Valentine and Girls & Boys.
The night was still young and it was already off to a great start. Good Charlotte got to play such a diverse variety from their discography, taking fans all the way back to the early 00’s up until their most recent record, Youth Authority. The fans in attendance sang along to every word to every song, whether it was an older song or one of their newest, such as Life Changes, Life Can’t Get Much Better or 40 oz Dreams.
From start to finish, with Big Jesus’ 20-minute, to Four Year Strong warming up the crowd to The Story So Far creating a mosh pit and crowd surfing frenzy and finally to yet another great hometown show by the DC boys of Good Charlotte.
