Bush Took Over Power Plant Live & It Sure Was A Hot One (Literally)

Power Plant Live – Baltimore MD

Once again fans of Bush in the DMV area were graced by the presence of their favorite band, as well as openers, The Kickback and boy was it a hot one out there. After getting over a cold patch in late May & early June, the heat was finally brought by Mother Nature and Bush.

Opening up the night, a band who opened for Bush the last time they were in the area, The Kickback were familiar to some and hoping to gain more fans here in Baltimore. The band gave off such an energetic set that ended with lead vocalist, Billy on the floor. But he’s fine, he just played the shit out of that guitar!

After a great set from The Kickback, approximately around 9ish Bush finally took the stage and opened up the night with fan favorite, Everything Zen. Such an oldie but a goodie! Bush gave fans in attendance a pretty hefty 12 song setlist that included their most recent single, Mad Love, from their newest record, Black & White Rainbows. Not only did they play a handful of a mixture of old songs and new, they also paid tribute to the late Chris Cornell by playing a cover of R.E.M.’s The One I Love with a snippet of Black Hole Sun. Bush ended out their set with a 4 song encore, playing fan favorites Glycerine, Machinehead, Comedown in addition to the touching tribute to Cornell.
