Chris Stapleton
August 10, 2017
Giant Center – Hershey, PA
What’s better than being in Hershey and being so close to that fresh chocolate? A fantastic concert to go with that chocolate! After two great sets from openers Brent Cobb & Margo Price, roughly around 9pm Chris Stapleton & Crew took the stage. Stapleton’s tour is supporting his latest album From A Room: Volume 1. With that being said, Stapleton opened up with Might As Well Get Stoned accompanied by a good amount of fog that really took over the stage.
Usually country artists go all out on their productions and staging etc, but Stapleton kept it simple and classy, which really seemed to suit his show. As expected from Stapleton, he gave his fans a hefty setlist consisting over nineteen songs including Broken Halos and Hard Livin’ to some slower acoustic songs such as Whiskey and You & More Of You. Not only did he play songs off his latest record and previous material, he also threw in some cover songs including a partial cover of Lynyrd Skynyrd’s Tuesday’s Gone and The Steel Drivers Midnight Train to Memphis.
After a long setlist of some good tunes Stapleton ended the nineteenth song with Tennessee Whiskey, but after came back to perform a two song encore including an acoustic song, Either Way and Sometimes I Cry.
Overall a fantastic night given by Chris Stapleton, Brent Cobb and Margo Price. If you have a chance to catch a glimpse of this tour, definitely do so!
