The Pretty Reckless made a stop in Philadelphia on November 10, 2013 as a part of their Going to Hell Tour at the Theater of Living Arts to promote their new album. The place was packed with a very diverse crowd; after all, there is nothing more badass than a female-fronted hard rock band, right? Right. The tour includes Heaven’s Basement and EmpireEscorts. Though EmpireEscorts was a miss, Heaven’s Basement delivered a wonderful performance that got the whole crowd anxious for the main act, the one and only, The Pretty Reckless.
The Pretty Reckless started their set with an eerie-like sound embedded with—and if you excuse me—orgasm noises. Just this tiny thing got the entire crowd jumping with high anticipation waiting for the band to come out from backstage. Out goes Taylor Momsen which filled the entire room with thrilled screams.
The band started off with Follow Me Down, transitioning to hit songs like Miss Nothing; Zombie; My Medicine; Make Me Wanna Die and finishing the night off with their new track Going to Hell. The set list was satisfying to say the least for Pretty Reckless fans. Even though there was no encore demanded, it was still definitely a night to remember. To top that off, Momsen’s connection with her audience was not like any other.
If you’re into hard rock, leather and other sinful things, be sure to catch the Going to Hell Tour if it’s coming to a city near you.
