The Winery Dogs
June 27, 2014
Saban Theater- Los Angeles, CA
The Winery Dogs put on a performance that was not only memorable but kept the crowd standing and roaring during the entire performance. Three super talented musicians, all with decades of experience, came together and created a wildly successful band. Drummer, Mike Portnoy (Dream Theater); bassist, Billy Sheehan (Mr. Big, Steve Vai, David Lee Roth) and uitarist, Ritchie Kotzen (Poison) all come with unique talents of their own and without a doubt proved themselves in their live performance.
The proven and self proclaimed supergroup, has outlasted so far, most of the other bands that have been labeled as such. It seems to be in the fact they don’t focus on the success side of things but more on the art of having fun on stage. Each musician, known for their own special skills, have their own life force on stage which seems to all come together in their performance, which is something that Jazz is known for but is what The Winery Dogs have managed to achieve with Hard Rock.
The Winery Dogs are still quite young for these advanced musicians but seem to have a long and bright future ahead. They are in the midst of doing a few local California dates followed by a quick European tour during the Summer and a few North East dates afterwards. Upcoming dates and merchandise available on their website.
