Eagleback Arena- Washington DC

Thursday December 3rd, 2015. DC101‘s Elliot In The Morning Holiday Concert brought Fall Out Boy, AWOLNATION, Bastille, and New Politics all together for one night at the Eaglebank Arena at George Mason University in Washington DC.

Fall Out Boy are very well known for putting all their energy into each show they perform. Just returning from their performance at the White House for the Christmas Tree Lighting, Fall Out Boy brought the whole crowd to their feet as their warmed up the audience with a very festive entrance song, which was Carol of the Bells, as the song merged right into one of their most popular singles, Sugar We’re Going Down.

Throughout the night Fall Out Boy gave their fans a variety of tracks from their latest album American Beauty/American Psycho as well as post-hiatus Save Rock and Roll. Their set list also included much older Fall Out Boy songs and an out of this world cover of the Charlie Brown tune Christmas Time is Here which proved Fall Out Boy can almost play anything and it still sounds good.

AWOLNATION, gave the audience somewhat of a heavy electronic vibe set filled with songs from their second studio album Run, and of course their most recent smash single Sail.

Also on the bill were British rockers Bastille, who played such a fantastic set, which consisted of a lot of crowd interaction. Singer, Dan Smith, also stopped in the middle of the set list to thank the fans who have supported them throughout the years, as well as the new fans. Not only did they play older fan favorites they also treated the crowd to a few new unreleased songs, including the newly dropped single Hangin, with some tracks from their very successful breakout album called, Bad Blood.

New Politics and The Struts also opened the show, getting every fan in the room all hyped up and ready for the headliners, Fall Out Boy.
