The Future Now Tour Ft. Demi Lovato & Nick Jonas Takes Over Washington DC

Demi Lovato & Nick Jonas
July 26, 2016
Verizon Center- Washington, D.C.

Opening up the night was Mike Posner who performed many of his most popular songs such as the most current single on the radio, I Took a Pill in Ibiza. Posner also played some older singles such as Please Don’t Go and Cooler Than Me. He definitely warmed the crowd up for what was to come later on.

Nick Jonas opened up the first half of the show with his most popular single Levels. Jonas played mostly his newer songs off his latest album, Last Year Was Complicated such as Bacon featuring Ty Dolla $ign, Champagne Problems, and The Difference, along with a few from his last album including Teacher and Jealous. Fans were ecstatic when he played a cover song of Sage The Gemini, Good Thing, a song that he actually featured on. Jonas definitely pulled out all the stops, not disappointing any fan in the whole room.

Demi Lovato-1Demi Lovato was up next as she arose from a rise opening up her set with Confident, immediately after Jonas finished his set. This girl’s vocals are incredible. Lovato sang many fan favorites, old and new, which included her 2015 top hit, Cool For The Summer. She also played older hits such as Sky Scraper and Give Your Heart A Break’, as well as her newly released single, Body Say.

Almost more than half way through Lovato’s set, she had a special guest come out on stage who just so happened to be one of the biggest names in country music, Brad Paisley. Paisley has a duet with Lovato called Without a Fight that they surprised everyone in the crowd with. Then all of a sudden Paisley and Lovato were joined by Nick Jonas. The three performed a few hits together including Lovato’s Stone Cold.

That’s not all that happened, once Paisley left the stage the crowd was graced by another surprise guest, being none other than Joe Jonas who really stunned the crowd. Lovato and the Jo’Bros gave the crowd a little Camp Rock mashup which included Gotta Find You and This Is Me. I could’ve sworn that is when the crowd was the loudest. Lovato left the stage for a costume change and left the Jonas Bros on stage singing Cake By The Ocean which got everyone off their feet once more before Lovato joined back on stage to perform Close with Nick Jonas.

Overall The Future Now Tour is one of the most well produced tour you can attend this summer. Headlined by two unbelievably amazing artists and a few surprises throughout the show is something you do not want to miss!
