Pepper And Less Than Jake Brought The Heat To Baltimore, MD

Pepper and Less Than Jake
February 21, 2017
Rams Head Live- Baltimore, MD

The Pepper and Less Than Jake tour took over Baltimore and had a very enthusiastic and energetic crowd, over the whole floor at Rams Head Live. By the time Pepper and Less Than Jake took the stage, the venue was a bit “smoky” looking and the smell of reefer really took over.

Pepper kicked off their set with their funk-filled song Storm Trooper, which fans instantly sang to, word for word. Pepper, all the way from Hawaii, played a fun mix of tracks off of their various records than span over twenty so years via seven albums. Not only did Pepper treat fans with older hits, but they also played newer hits from their most recent album, Ohana. Included in their set list were songs Stone Love, Wait, and Fuck Around (All Night).

The band closed out the night with Crazy Love and Ashes. The trio showed their talent with reggae influenced rock throughout the whole night and truly didn’t disappoint anyone in the crowd. Less Than Jake most definitely had some high expectations to live up to.

Less Than Jake hailing all the way from Gainesville, FL kicked off their set right, opening up with All My Friends Are Metalheads. Less Than Jake played a set of eighteen songs- hit after hit, that showed off what they have done since forming back in 1992. I honestly don’t know who brought the most energy to the room, the band or the crowd. While you could say it was a close call, it seemed like everyone equally wanted to enjoy their Tuesday night at a show!

The band played so many  fan favorites such as  Last One Out Of Liberty City, Automtic and My Very Own Flag. Less Than Jake also threw in a few new tracks off of their latest EP, Sound The Alarm, that was released on February 3rd. LTJ played an fourteen song set list that got the crowd as rowdy as I think they could for a Tuesday night.

The guys of Less Than Jake closed out the night with a three song encore that included The Science of Selling Yourself Short, Gainesville Rock City and The Ghosts of You and Me. Less Than Jake had no problem proving that 20+ years in the music industry is a piece of cake if you find that special niche. Well, honestly they have found that special niche and had no problem performing/creating hit after hit, as well as being a great source of entertainment.
