Billy Currington Brings Country To The City

Fillmore – Silver Spring, MD

Currently on the Stay Up Til the Sun Tour, Billy Currington brought the summer vibes and some good ole country music to the chilly D.C., along with Jillian Jacqueline as support.

Hailing from Nashville, Jillian Jacqueline is out, not only supporting Currington but also promoting her latest self titled EP. Being that she had a short set she didn’t hesitate to introduce the band as well as herself throughout the night. Songs that she played were a few off her EP including some new songs, Bleachers and Hate Me.

Around 9:30 pm Billy Currington took the stage and the roar that came from the crowd deafened me. Once Currington took the stage it didn’t matter that we were all packed like sardines in this venue. Currington opened up with fan favorite Don’t It. Throughout the night Currington played some older songs such as People Are Crazy and Must Be Doin’ Something Right. He also played more recent songs such as It Don’t Hurt Like It Used. For a cold night, Currington sure did bring the heat to the DMV area as he gave the sold out Fillmore a good country show.
